GLOBAL PREDICTIVE REAL-TIME CONTROL OF SEWERS ALLOWING SURCHARGED FLOWS
Presentation of a global and predictive control strategy in order to minimize combined sewer overflows that can occur during storm and rainfall events. This control strategy was applied to the Marigot interceptor in Laval, Canada. For an optimal use, the proposed strategy allows surcharged flows that lead to important decreases in overflow volumes due to the increased storage in the interceptor pipes.
