GIARDIA AND CRYPTOSPORIDIUM REMOVALS BY CLARIFICATION AND FILTRATION UNDER CHALLENGE CONDITIONS
Giarda and Cryptosporidium removal. Dissolved air flotation (DAF), lamella sedimentation and filtration were studied in order to control cysts and oocysts in drinking water. Operating conditions (retention time, water velocity, and temperature) were tested versus process performances. DAF was found to be efficiency and the authors recommend to use this system to remove Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
