FATE OF INDICATOR MICROORGANISMS, "GIARDIA" AND "CRYPTOSPORIDIUM" IN SUBSURFACE FLOW CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS
The ability of multi-species subsurfaces wetlands to physicaly remove indicator bacteria (totat and fecal coliforms) ,coliphage and enteric protozoan pathogensis (Gardia, Cryptosporidium)is investigated. The likely impact of local wildlife on the occurence of these indicators and pathogens is then discussed. Experimental results are summerised.
