EVALUATION OF TREATMENT METHODS TO REDUCE THE CORROSIVITY OF SOFT WATERS
Corrosion of soft water. In order to increase life-time of pipes in drinking water distribution system, the corrosivity of low alkalinity water was studied. The addition of phosphate or remineralisations of water are common methods to avoid corrosion. Influence of operating conditions and water quality were used to choice the best method. Remineralisation was found the most effective after 15 month long experiments.
