AN EMPIRICAL MODEL OF FATALITIES AND INJURIES DUE TO FLOODS IN JAPAN
Analyse of flood fatalities and injuries dur to floods, description of the derivation of a generalized flood risk function by introducing an integrated index that represents the major change in the power relation among the flood intensity, regional vulnerability and resilience. The empirical models suggested the usefulness in evaluating the efficiency of the warning or other emergency response measures.
