THE EFFICACY OF SILVER AS A BACTERICIDAL AGENT : ADVANTAGES, LIMITATIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS FOR FUTURE USE
Silver as bactericidal agent. Different silver species are used against Escherichia coli. The experiments were performed in batch reactor. It was found that Ag(I) or Ag(II) complexes are responsible of bactericidal activities. The minimum inhibitory concentrations were determined.
