In order to detect and to measure pollution concentrations in a combined sewer, a monitoring station has been used in Graz, Germany. Inflow and spillflow, during storm events, were measured continuously and pollution concentrations were measured by means of UV/VIS spectroscopy and ion selective probes. The measured concentrations at the monitoring station Graz were significantly variable due to the remobilization of sewer deposits during storm events.
