CRITICAL ISSUES FOR STORMWATER PONDS : LEARNING FROM A DECADE OF RESEARCH
The study has concluded that there are a number of identifi-able factors, termed critical issues which will significantly influence the success, failure and sustainabi-lity of the best management practices. Such factors will be important to a very divers group of stakeholders in storm-water management, including designers, owner/operators, re-gulatory authorities and the general public. These factors can be grouped within the categories of initial design, operation and maintenance, performance and adaptative design.The first generation quantity control ponds may be outdated today.
