Proposition and comparison of chemometric data analysis methods for resolution and modeling of main surface water contamination sources in identifying chemical composition according to geographical and temporal distribution profiles. Environmental monitoring program covering 19 priority semi-volatil organic compounds in 644 surface water samples including 46 different sites throughout Portugal during 14 months. An efficient and useful way to uncover mixed geographical and temporal information is identified.
