BIOAUGMENTATION WITH RESIN-ACID-DEGRADING BACTERIA ENHANCES RESIN ACID REMOVAL IN SEQUENCING BATCH REACTORS TREATING PULP MILL EFFLUENTS
Tests of 2 bacteria (Pseudomonas abietaniphila BKME-9 and Zoogloea resiniphila DhA-35) for their ability to remove toxic resin acid in pulp and paper mill effluents. Good efficiency of removal for high sludge concentration (200µM) but fail to remove total organic carbon.
