AN ASSESSMENT OF NATURAL BIOTRANSFORMATION OF PETROLEUM HYDROCARBONS AND CHLORINATED SOLVENTS AT AN AQUIFER PLUME TRANSECT
Description of a combined field and laboratory approach to quantify intrinsec bioremediation of TCE and toluene. Site description : hydrology, plan view and distribution of contamination with concentration of non-chlorinated organic contaminants in sediment cores. Methods, materials and analysis technics are detailed. Field management results in groundwater are done on dissolved oxygen, pH, conductance, Eh, temperature. Discussion on evolution profils in time of dissolved methane and carbone dioxide and biodegradation in sediment microcosms.
