ASSESSING MICROBIAL DEGRADATION OF O-XYLENE AT FIELD-SCALE FROM THE REDUCTION IN MASS FLOW RATE COMBINED WITH COMPOUND-SPECIFIC ISOTOPE ANALYSES
Description of a quaternary aquifer contaminated by gasworks. Integral groundwater investigation method and design of pumping tests. Principles of compound-specific isotope analyses (CSIA) with 13C and 12C concentrations. Simplified scenarios of concentration time series and 13C time series during pumping test are presented. Results and discussion on benzene and oxylene dissolved values with three methods. Simulated mass balance and sorption/degradation rates with time and effect of biodegradation.
