APPLICATION OF NANO TiO2 TOWARDS POLLUTED WATER TREATMENT COMBINED WITH ELECTRO-PHOTOCHEMICAL METHOD
Development of a composite reactor to study the degradation of organic pollutants and harmful substances discharged into natural waters and from dyeing and printing wastewaters by way of the excitation of nano TiO2 photocatalyst leading to the production of hole-electron pairs and a 3-electrode electrolyse system to accumulate H2O2. The reactor was evaluated by the degradation of rhodamind 6G. The combination of the photochemical and the electrochemical systems increases the efficiency ; COD and BOD were reduced by 93% and 87%.
