ANTHROPOGENIC ORGANIC CONTAMINANTS IN SEDIMENTS OF THE LIPPE RIVER, GERMANY
Identification of a wide range of anthropogenic organic contaminants through non-target-screening approaches. The concept of anthropogenic molecular markers derived from municipal, agricultural and industrial sources aims at obtaining a comprehensive overview on emission sources affecting the river. The investigation of spatial distribution, input effects and time dependant occurrence show that municipal and agricultural contaminations are ubiquitous and diffusive whereas industrial emission sources are spatially isolated.
