PHOSPHATE INHIBITION ON THERMOPHILIC ACETOCLASTIC METHANOGENS: A WARNING
Tests were performed with 3 different anaerobic granular sludge to investigate the effect of phosphate specifically on the acetoclastic methanogens in different thermophilic methanogenic consortia. Results: effect of phosphate addition on the rate of methane formation, inhibition of the activity of thermophilic acetoclastic methanogens.
