FATE AND ECOTOXICITY OF THE NEW ANTIFOULING COMPOUND IRGAROL 1051 IN THE AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT
Residues analysis and ecotoxicology assessment of the new antifouling compound Irgarol 1051 (2-methylthio-4-tert-butylamino-6-amino-s-triazine) in aquatic environment - Bioassays with a marine bacterium and four crustaceans showed a moderate toxicity, but a high phytotoxicity is observed with algae and higher plants (i.e., the primary producer community in aquatic ecosystem).
