CLOSED-FORM SOLUTION FOR COASTAL AQUIFER MANAGEMENT

Differential equations describe the time evolution of hydraulic groundwater heads in various superposed aquifers. The pumping rate is the management variable in the optimization of the extraction. After the formulation of the modelling an application is presented with the impact of the cost of groundwater pumping with hydraulic gradients and hydraulic heads.
